Boy Scout Troop 1100

Troop 1100 offers boys 11-17 the opportunity to develop leadership, character, citizenship, and fitness while having fun. The troop meets every Wednesday from 7:30-9:00 p.m. to work as teams to prepare for outdoor activities, and to learn skills under the guidance of their elected peer officers. Patrol leaders meet monthly with the scoutmaster to plan outdoor activities such as camping, rafting, skiing, and parish and community service activities. Scouts are recognized quarterly for their achievements and advancements. Each scout has the opportunity to attend summer base camp or high adventure camp. Cub Scout Pack 1101

Pack 1101 provides character-building through craft, skill, and family activities for Nativity’s boys in grades 1-5. Dens meet 1-2 times a month from September to May to work on advancement requirements, crafts, and skills, and participate in skits and songs. The Dens gather monthly for a Pack meeting to share their activities and receive recognition for their accomplishments. The highlight of the year is the Pinewood Derby when the boys compete for speed and show with model race cars they have crafted themselves from wood. Summer activities include camping, a pack bike ride, and outings to Splashdown water Park, Potomac Nationals baseball games and the U. S. Marine Corps Twilight Parade. Each scout has the opportunity to attend a week-long summer camp daily (for younger scouts) or overnight. Contact Dennis Ward at 703-690-2741  or Pete Griffiths at 703-924-9373.
